Subject: Difference Between Scrims and Pubs Mon Mar 23, 2009 12:02 pm |

Scrims are organized team scrimmages, or scrims, where each clan verses each other and, depending on if these scrims are part of a tournament, competition, etc., the winning clan will advance to the next round to fight the next opponent. When there are no available clans to scrim with, clan members simply just practice and practice like crazy with the clan's best members until everyone is near perfect. This way we'd be ready to whoop some ass. That's why our clan needs to be very selective in deciding who is on the main scrim team and who's on the backup team in case some of the main scrimmers miss out. Scrims with other clans don't have to be official. Scrims can be held to simply decide which clan is better than the other.
Pubs are just basically your average server with random people in random clans, or not, who just play to get a little better or whatever their reason for playing is.
In short, scrims are basically practicing and playing with the clan's best members in a private server in order to be good enough to compete with other clans in "clan wars". Scrims are much more effective in developing your skills further. Who knows if clan [aK] practices enough we might be able to make it to CPL (Cyberathlete Professional League), where the best in world play against each other. But hey, who knows? |
